Bio

I have extensive experience in both print and video content creation at network affiliate television stations, a grant-funded department at a college, and with many freelance clients.

I began my career as a paid intern at small newspapers covering big stories and then took an internship at a local television station as a general assignment reporter. I learned on the job. I’m not afraid to ask people who know much more than me for guidance and advice.

After graduating from Duke University with a degree in Public Policy, I got a job as an associate producer at the NBC station in Raleigh, NC that was just beginning a news department. Soon, management promoted me to producer.

One day out-of-the-blue, I got a call from the CBS station in Cincinnati wondering if I would be interested in moving. I got on a plane, went up for an interview, and within three weeks, I was moving. The news director hired me to create a brand new newscast, earning me the reputation as an out-of-the box program designer.

After a few years in the Queen City, I had the desire to go to a bigger market, so I headed south to the Tampa Bay area to be a lead producer at the CBS station in Tampa. Once there, I again created new and creative show formats, redesigning a struggling newscast and debuting another.

A new challenge presented itself to me in the spring of 2003. I left news and went to work for a grant-funded department at a college, producing video content for public safety professionals. During that time, I worked with national partners to produce promo videos, panel discussions, documentaries, video training series, and emotional personal pieces.

I have also freelanced for print and online clients throughout my television career, including for the Tampa Bay Times, formerly the St. Petersburg Times.

I began freelancing full-time in 2017 and have not looked back.

The constant thing in my life has been my love of travel. I live for the chance to go somewhere new to experience different cultures and meet new people. Beginning in 2019, I began to blog about my travels. Traveling Tiffani has been a great way to share some advice and write in a fun and casual way.

I also am a huge college football and basketball fan. My birth certificate says Nebraska Cornhusker and my diploma says Duke Blue Devil.

I also have a very unique collection. Ask me about it.
